Since 2001, the Trtu NGO (Temik Khalapyan, Director), under the program Pyunik (made possible by the financial assistance of the Open Society Institute Fund and the OSCE office in Yerevan), has worked with incarcerated youth and women, using culture (theatre, ceramics, woodworking, painting, computer, traditional song and dance) with the purpose of assisting the reintegration of the incarcerated back into society. Currently, Trtu is in need of a pick-up truck or similar vehicle to transport various studio and theatre materials in order to have theatrical presentations and exhibitions throughout Armenia and Karabagh. For information on how to help this program, please write:
[email protected] or [email protected] . Thank you.
